DIY Pampas Grass Wreath

Do you love Pampas Grass as much as we do? It's one of our favourite 'forever' stems, because it dries out and makes the best home decor piece. And there's nothing we love more than a DIY project - cue pampas grass wreaths. We recently utilized some of our fresh in-season pampas to create a beautiful wreath and had to share the details with you. Follow along below!

What you'll need:

  • 5 Stems of Pampas Grass
  • Gardening shears or kitchen scissors
  • Elmers white glue
  • 14 or 18 inch Grapevine wreath (we recommend buying one from Michael's)
  • Patience!!
Step One!

Successfully completing this wreath is all in the prep. The first thing you're going to do is trim any loose bits off of the grapevine wreath. Then you're going to carefully trim your pampas grass into smaller more manageable pieces.

Your trimmed pampas pieces should be about this size.

Step Two!

Now it's time to attach the pieces to your wreath. Carefully apply a dot of glue to the end of your pampas and slide the piece into the grapevine wreath. Keep working around the wreath, slotting in your pieces. Make sure each piece is facing the same direction to get a uniform look.

The completed wreath!

Give your wreath a few days to completely dry out then find the perfect spot for it in your home! To keep the plant from shedding we like to give it a quick shot of clear hairspray (any brand will work!).
